Curious about using sheep wool as a natural insulation material? This one-day masterclass is for homeowners, contractors, and anyone interested in healthier, more sustainable building solutions.
A hands-on introduction to natural insulation that’s good for buildings, and for us.
The first half of the Masterclass will be led by Aisling from SheepWool Insulation. We will begin the day with an introduction to natural building materials and the reasons we might choose them: from lowering environmental impact to improving indoor air quality. We will then explore how issues like damp and breathability affect traditional buildings, and why using the right materials, in the right way, really matters.
From there, we’ll focus in on some beautiful SheepWool Insulation:
- What it is
- Why it works
- How it can help resolve common issues in older or breathable buildings
We’ll look at a range of products, with the chance to handle samples and compare them. In the afternoon, there will be a demonstration of how to cut and install SheepWool insulation into a wall structure, led by Andrew from Unity Lime. (Please note: this is a demonstration only — participants will not be carrying out the installation themselves.)
There will be plenty of time for questions, discussion, and sharing experiences throughout the day.
