The range of specialist skills we have built up over the years is reflected in our team of experienced Buildings Consultants:
Craig is responsible for the overall management and development of the Charlestown Consultants. He has previously worked as Project Officer with Tayside Building Preservation Trust, Buildings Advisor with SLCT, and most recently, Conservation Officer for Dundee City Council. Craig returned to Charlestown in late 2005 to take up the post of Senior Buildings Consultant. He is a member of the Institute of Historic Building Conservation (IHBC), the Building Limes Forum and the RICS Building Conservation Group.
Bryan is a Chartered Building Surveyor with extensive experience of traditional buildings. In addition to his professional qualifications and experience, Bryan has a trade background as a time served joiner. Bryan previously worked with the Scottish Executive, the Ancient Monuments Department (now Historic Scotland) and latterly as Head of Estates at the Scottish Prison Service. Bryan 'retired' in 1999 and subsequently joined SLCT the following year.
Roz was appointed Director of SLCT in early 2005 after 10 years working with the Trust. As the first SLCT employee, Roz has contributed to, and managed, both consultancy and training. As the SLCT's remit has grown, Roz has also been a committee member of the Building Limes Forum and is currently a Director of both the Scottish Stone Liaison Group and the Natural Stone Institute.
