This exciting and rare three day course is being run at Charlestown workshops by

Day 1
Introduction and presentation, demonstration of drawing technique.
Practice drawing letterforms whilst discussing design theory in signage.
Design and draw up full scale design for your sign.
Day 2
Demonstration of painting including set-up, kit required and care of brushes.
Practice painting in letterforms drawn on paper yesterday.
Transfer design onto sign panel, set up and begin painting.
Day 3
Demonstration of decorative elements e.g. shading and outlining letters, filigree/scrollwork, lining.
Finish painting base lettering on panels if required then add decorative elements.
Finish painting decorative elements and finish signs, whilst discussing general aspects of signwriting industry and answering questions.
