The Scottish Lime Centre Trust is very pleased to welcome back Mike Parrett, a leading expert in building pathology and dampness investigation, to deliver a 1 day ‘Damp in Buildings Seminar’ on Friday 3rd May.
This is a topic that anyone working with buildings, traditional or modern, will have to deal with in some form during their career. There are a huge number of solutions to problems with damp being offered by industry, but it can be difficult to distinguish between the appropriate and the inappropriate. This seminar gives attendees the chance to hear about a wide range of approaches and techniques for assessing and dealing with dampness issues from an independent expert in the field. Mike will show attendees a wide range of case studies from his extensive career putting these different approaches into context.
It has been predicted that the deluges of rain that we have been experiencing more frequently in recent years are set to continue and even increase, so what does that mean for our buildings? It is vital that we start to address this issue now and learn to cope with our changing weather patterns, which is why we’ve included this as one of the key topics for discussion during the seminar.
