Are you interested in Scotland’s architecture, archaeology, history or geography?
Want to find out what the Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Scotland (RCAHMS) holds in it's collections and how you can start using them for research?
This year, RCAHMS is hosting a series of monthly induction sessions to enable visitors to actively engage with their collections, which comprise over 15 million items relating to Scotland’s places. Throughout the year they’ll be following these up by offering more detailed sessions on specific subjects and collections.
These sessions are free and open to anyone: whether you’re a new user, an amateur researcher or a student, you will be guided through the wealth of resources available in their Search Room and online. You’ll build up your knowledge of what RCAHMS holds, you’ll learn how to find and use their material, and you’ll be able to start work on a research project of your own.
