As part of the Townscape Heritage Initiative Scheme and Conservation Area Regeneration Scheme currently running in Anstruther, an exciting range of practical courses are being run to increase the skills of those working on traditional buildings in this area. This training will give those who work on or own a traditional building the knowledge and skills required to maintain and repair older buildings and structures.Training is subsidised and represents a fantastic opportunity to increase your skills. The range of training available includes opportunities for:

  • Homeowners looking to repair and maintain their traditional   buildings and know they are doing the ‘right thing’.
  • Those looking to gain new skills in construction or considering a career change into the traditional trades.

We have an Evening Seminar (16 April) & Open Day (2 May) coming up. (please email admin@scotlime.org to express interest)

Practical courses running include Making & Using Traditional Mortars C1 - Contractor Level 1, Sash & Case Window Repairs & Lime Pointing.
